Happy World Prematurity Day!

Today is World Prematurity Day – a day I never would have recognized or known existed save for my own daughter being born prematurely. It is amazing to see the network of people who have connections to the world of prematurity, whether it is a part of their own story, their family or friends, or through the wonderful work they do in an NICU or in raising awareness and support for the needs of babies born premature. My daughter is blessed to be one of the success stories of a micro preemie. She was born 3 months premature, to the day, weighing 1lb 5oz and went on to spend 123 days in the NICU. She has been home now for just over 7 months and will turn one in a few weeks. If you are finding this link because you have a story of your own, I hope this day has been a happy one for you. And I would love to read your story! Send me a message or comment below!
